“have done a lot of mangrove tours and this was amazing. we stopped at a local island in the mangrove to see theor attempt to help endangered species. that part was a bit touristy bit the whole experience overall was fabulous. Jamie and Ariel were just fabulous and it was so good to support them Viva La Bouquilla”

“Even though the weather was bad and rained most of the day, our tour guide, Ruben made it very interesting since he was knowledgeable about the area. Snorkeling was not too good due to the cloudy water. Swimming at the beach in the afternoon and the delicious fresh fish lunch, along with Ruben going over and beyond to help us, made it a perfect day!”

“More organization and clear direction is needed. Aside from telling me where to meet, tell me who to meet and in what mode of transportation. Aside from almost being overcharged / robbed by hustlers for two drinks, a whopping $116 US! The trip was as lovely as all the good people that stepped in to help and make the experience a good one; it was a decent time that could have been a lot better. You all have some kinks to work out.”

“They will not pick you up at any hotel as advertised. You will need to meet them at the Pegasus. We were instructed to be there at 7:45, however, they didn’t arrive until after 8 and we did not leave until 8:20. The Mambo Club is somewhat rundown. The only items that are included under 30,000 are the typical fish, chicken, and fried rice. Any specialty items are way overpriced - anywhere between 50 to 90,000 pesos. The ballaniese beach beds are also 120 pesos. There was little communication throughout the day from the guides, and many people did not know when things were happening, which makes it hard to truly…”

“The trip is a delightful way to experience both the country outside of Cartagena and the Rosario islands. Be warned you have some lovely time on the beach and in the water snorkeling but it is not nearly enough! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife (including fish), history of the area, and flexible to what we want. We ate local meals in a local home and had a place to wash off afterwards. Conditions at the home that serves as a base are primitive but authentic and sanitary. Great communication to make sure our questions were answered before the trip.”

“Wonderful experience! They have worked hard to make the whole place beautiful with lush gardens and hanging air plants, mosaics and metal art works. They have volunteers who speak English. We saw butterfly eggs, then got to hold a caterpillar, then sas the chrysalises with movement inside as the butterflies try to break out and finally the butterflies hanging on to the chrysalis until they dry out. Then we went into a very large enclosure to see butterflies everywhere among the plants. We sat quietly and the butterflies came and sat on us. After a while, we had to shake them off so we could move on.”

“I had a great time on this hike with Liz! This hike can be challenging at some points and, depending on the weather, muddy. I highly recommended bringing good hiking boots and layers. The landscape is stunning! We were the only ones hiking that day and I felt like we were on another planet! Highly recommend this tour!”

“Spectacular hike with views of the surrounding mountains and unique flora! Prepare for wet weather, regardless of the season. Not strenuous for those who are accustomed to the outdoors - a 6.5/10. My guide Juan was good company and shared his extensive knowledge along the way. About 6 to 7 hours including transport.”
